4th Of July

Posted July 5th, 2009 by Mike

We have a couple Chicago Tribune reporters embedding with us for a while and they did a story about our 4th of July celebration here.

4th of July in Nangarhar

Everything’s going fine here. If everything goes the way it should I’ll be back in San Antonio before August!

Baker tried to hang, but he couldn’t. How many did you end up with Burtch, was it 2 or 3? :D

If you count palace and FAF runs I got smoked.

Can’t wait to see you Burtch, only a few more days, warm my bed up!

Great article about your holiday. I loved the pics especially. And coincidentally, I’ll be heading to San Antonio in just a few weeks to meet up with my Army pen pal who returned home from Afghanistan just a few weeks ago. I’ve never been there before and am looking forward to seeing the sights. I’ll be staying on Fort Sam Houston which I’m also looking forward to! I’ll get to thank more of you fine, fine folks. Glad you boys are making your way home. It’s making lots of us girls happy. :)

(Not that there aren’t girls serving over there as well!)

Bramelo i’ll get u a Bhut aight, the rest of those fools can enjoy the tents out at Camp Forget You!!
