Jody,
Thank you for your words of encouragement. Our military men and women will certainly give us calloused knees. Just as they consider it their duty to serve our county, I consider it my duty to pray for them. I am not sure that my email can be posted but would love to share it with you degbcoble@yahoo.com
You are so right about this site. It has been such a blessing to our family and friends. Mike, thank you and to the guys that are continuing thank you.

Debbie.
Please feel free to email me. I understand how you are feeling.
I finally got to hug my son and welcome him home. (a couple of days ago)Not a dry eye in the airport. We had the Patriot Guard there. You can invite them(Patriot Guard) when you see your son again. I would like to continue to send care packages but need addresses. I understand how you feel with your son at F-S. That is where my son was. I will pray for your son and ask our loving God to put a hedge of protection around him daily. Hang in there Debbie. My son said I aged 10 yrs when he saw me.. now I can't imagine why~ Those years will come off quickly now that I am positive he is safe and back here. You will be the same. Pray every day and all throughout the day. Give your sons name and his buddies namesto churches for prayer. Never give up and always stay strong. Tell your son thank you for his service. We army moms need to stick together. I'm here if you need anything.
Hugz
PFC Drew's mom

This site did help tremendously! More than he will ever know or realize. Glad to see it will keep going.

So glad to hear that you are going to get to come home to the states but at the same time I am sad. Your blog has given me a glimpse of where my son is at Finley-Shields-thank you for that and thank you for your service to our great country. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I think even harder on you guys than the rough life, lack of creature comforts and constant danger you face is the reality you have to live and breathe every day. Leaving to come home, to all you know that we have here, seems like it might be hard, especially if you feel there is so much more to be done over there. That's how my pen pal felt anyway. Total joy at returning to friends and family but still a bit wistful as to everything that still needs to be done. Keep yourself safe sir. Thinking of and praying for you.

I can certainly see how military presence can seem like humvees in a china closet. It also seems that the military presence is beneficial in the majority of cases. Sometimes you have to break a few dishes to get things straightened out.
