Well, I made it to Ft. Bragg yesterday. The barracks are WWII vintage buildings. They’re 2 stories with 24 beds and a bathroom on each floor. The bathroom has 2 showers, so the morning routine is going to be interesting. It’s been very unstructured so far, I was literally dropped off at the building and told good luck. There was one guy in the barracks when I came in and he was asleep, so I picked an open bunk and moved in. More people trickled in throughout the day, and they were just as clueless as I was. Finally some folks came back that had been here for some specialty training for the past week, but they didn’t know much either. We have a meeting tonight at 2000, so I should find out some more then.

So far everybody I’ve met has been cool. We have a van for our team and we’ve been to the BX a couple times to kill time. Tomorrow’s the first real day of training, so I’ll post an update tomorrow evening. I found out I could connect my phone to my laptop to get internet access for an extra $10 a month, so I added that to my plan and now I have internet access in the barracks.

I took a few pics, they’re up HERE. I’ll be adding more to that CST album as I take ‘em.
